The ditty is from The Twelfth Night. The phrase just popped out as a fit epithet for grand thoughts. Especially as when they are taken into the potency of adulthood, they can become so overwrought, brittle, and dangerous.

This blog was for my jottings on religion. Now I'm going to use it to dump my grand thoughts before they make my head explode.
